COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) – Fiestas Patrias, the third-annual Hispanic Heritage Festival in Colorado Springs, is celebrating and honoring the diverse histories and heritages of Latin and Hispanic origins. The event kicks off the beginning of Hispanic Heritage Month, with food, Mexican wrestling, dancing horses, and more. The celebration takes place both Saturday, Sept. 14th, and Sunday, Sept. 15th, in front of the Colorado Springs Pioneers Museum. One of the co-founders said Fiestas Patrias has grown immensely since it first started back in 2022. This year, they’re expecting 60,000 attendees for the free-family event.
